SEEDLIP | The World’s First Non-Alcoholic Spirit

Published:

Founded by Ben Branson after a stint in his ‘kitchen in the woods’ using a small copper still and a copy of The Art of Distillation (written in 1651), he eventually created the perfect solution of what to drink when you’re not drinking. SEEDLIP is the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, thoughtfully created to enhance your non-alcoholic drinking experience.

With a family farming heritage of over 300 years and an early career working with leading drinks brands, Ben had the perfect experience to lay the foundations of his new company. After two years of working with distillers, growers and historians, Ben has created an adult, complex drink designed for whenever and whatever reason you’re not drinking alcohol. Ben was quickly surprised by the reaction to his drink and received profound interest from both trade and consumers.

Launched in November 2015, Ben’s non-alcoholic spirits almost immediately sold out in London’s Selfridges who sold SEEDLIP exclusively for 2 months before being sold elsewhere. SEEDLIP is now sold in over 15 international cities, supermarkets, various Michelin starred restaurants including The Fat Duck and Eleven Madison Park as well as some of the world’s top cocktail bars including The Dead Rabbit, Baxter Inn and The Savoy.

Now continuing to break the boundaries of the non-alcoholic world, SEEDLIP has launched the world’s first NOgroni (pictured above) at the World’s 50 best bar awards 2017, winning gold at the Chelsea flower show in 2016 and an award for the ‘Best Emerging British Brand’ at the British Luxury Awards 2017.

A British company through and through, SEEDLIP is blended and bottled in England from all natural ingredients. Created in a coveted bespoke maceration, copper pot distillation and filtration process for each individual botanical, the entire operation takes 6 weeks in total. These non-alcoholic spirits contain zero calories, are sugar free, sweetener free and free from artificial flavours but are thankfully still bursting with flavour.

Currently available in two flavours SEEDLIP Garden 108 and SEEDLIP Spice 94 are both worlds apart in taste, but beautifully complex as part of a cocktail. SEEDLIP Garden 108 captures the essence of the English countryside with a perfect blend of top notes including handpicked peas and hay from Ben’s family farm with a complex herbal hint of spearmint, rosemary and thyme. Best served with a garnish of a snapped pea pod with Fever Tree Indian Tonic.

Alternatively, Seedlip 94 is aromatic and full of spice. You’ll taste allspice berries and cardamon, citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit peel and a slightly bitter taste from the highest quality barks. Best served with a twist of red grapefruit and Fever Tree Indian Tonic.
