Inspiring Creative Workspaces

As part of the renovations of our Felsted showroom, we are also having a bit of revamp of our design studios and are having a lovely new meeting room installed. The environment you work in is so important – after all, you spent a third of your day (or more sometimes) in the space.  We are lucky at Humphrey Munson that our main kitchen design office at Felsted is between the showroom and the workshop – you can’t help but feel inspired being sandwiched between the two. Yesterday we were talking about some of the most inspiring creative workspaces we’d seen in magazines and books, these are our favourites…

Ralph Lauren Office- Madison Avenue - New York

This is Ralph Lauren’s office at the company’s Madison Avenue headquarters. It’s absolutely packed with art, books, accessories and artwork. My favourite piece is the large graphite drawing by Woodrow Blagg is displayed behind the designer’s Highbridge glass-top desk – naturally this is by Ralph Lauren Home.

We love the London offices of luxury interior design company Laura Hammett Interiors. The windows let in so much light and with those high ceilings it looks to be a super inspiring workplace.

Anna Wintour office Vogue

As you’d expect, the New York office of editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour is the perfect blend of style and function. Designed by Carrier & Company, we love the mix of antique and vintage pieces in such a modern day office building in New York city. Although Vogue have recently moved offices to One World Trade Center, it’s rumoured she’s taken the desk and accessories with her.

Sophie Paterson Interiors - Surrey Project - Study

This study designed by Sophie Paterson Interiors is probably every guy’s dream office. Sophie recently shared via her instagram account that the starting point for the design was the wallpaper and then she was able to start sourcing lots of beautiful antique pieces for the space. As well as her amazing eye for proportion, Sophie also expertly layers textures into her designs ensuring the spaces have depth, personality and warmth.
