Kitchen Confidential | The Beech House Project

Published:

The Beech house project is one of simplicity and beauty and has become the hub of this busy family home. The crisp colour palette lends itself perfectly to the stainless steel appliances and polished Nickel Quilp knobs. Like all our projects the importance of zoning food preparation, cooking, dining and clearing away areas was critical to the success of the family space.

When you walk into the kitchen your eye is immediately drawn across the island to the Wolf Range cooker, false chimney and antique effect mirror splashback. The contemporary overmantel conceals the bespoke HM Westin extraction whilst creating balance to the space with countertop cabinet either side.

A pot cupboard can be located under the left countertop cupboard and is designed to pull out so that you no longer have to crash about in the back of the cupboard for that one specific pan. The Cabinetry interiors are finished in HM American Walnut which balances the coolness of the grey colour palette. The perimeter cabinetry is finished in HM Tailored Grey while the island is painted in HM Farthing II.

The countertop baking cupboard above the pot drawer is the perfect storage solution for housing a kitchen aid mixer and dry ingredients but keeping clean lines in the design.

The Wolf range cooker is always a kitchen showstopper and a brilliant addition to any hardworking kitchen. It is complete with a teppanyaki plate, six gas burners and a bake stone kit which can be used for baking bread, flatbreads and most importantly pizzas! This is a fantastic accessory whether you are having a children’s pizza party or impressing your friends with fresh homemade pizza.

To the right of the wolf is another countertop cupboard with a bi-fold door to conceal the coffee machine and microwave along with cups and other items like tea and coffee within arms reach of the sink.

One thing the client wanted was a tidy way to store cookbooks without spoiling the design of the kitchen, so a bookshelf has been incorporated just to the right hand side of the breakfast drinks cupboard.

The main sink run has the white enamelled Kohler Deerfield smart divide sink and Quooker stainless steel nordic square twin taps which gives this area a modern feel. The Miele integrated dishwasher is located to the right hand side of the sink run with the Eurocargo pull out bin conveniently located behind the sink on the island.

Running along from the sink run is a well balanced series of tall Spenlow cabinets which encompass the day pantry, Sub-Zero refrigerator and crockery cupboard. The Sub-Zero under-counter wine storage is positioned at the end of the island towards the seating area.

This is really thoughtful design that has been carefully considered with ease of use in mind so that whether you’re prepping food or serving a glass of wine, everything you need is easily accessible and kept clear from the main cooking area, enabling a few people to be in the kitchen without bumping into each other.

The Beech house project is epitome of a cool, calm and contemporary kitchen. To see the full portfolio of images for this project click here.
