The perfect Pied-à-terre kitchen
One of the Nickleby’s best qualities is its adaptability – it doesn’t matter if it’s a huge country home, or a London pied-à-terre, the guiding principles of simplicity and symmetry prevail whatever the size.
Here the Nickleby is shown with a typical mix of hand-painted cabinetry and smoked oak accents. All our kitchens are hand-finished on site, so after installation a painter will arrive and hand-paint the final top coat in situ to ensure the perfect finish.
The cabinetry is painted in a beautiful pared down natural linen colour which works perfectly on the Nickleby cupboard doors. The smoked oak finish on the cupboard doors which flank the range cooker are solid oak and give a really subtle warmth to the kitchen.
The handles on the cabinetry are hand cast and finished in polished nickel. The Lacanche Macon range cooker is shown in this kitchen in Faience. The Macon model has two 55L ovens: one is a high temperature 3.5kW gas oven, the other is static (conventional) oven, offering even cooking and the benefit of the large and powerful 2.65kW grill. The third smaller 25L electric oven with grill is perfect if you’ve only got some light cooking to do and emphasises the versatility of these cookers. There is even a storage drawer for your pots and pans.
