PROJECT DETAILS
Located just a stone’s throw away from Tower Bridge in historic Shad Thames, this dreamy London apartment is the result of a full scale renovation project.

Originally two smaller and darker separate rooms, the renovation revolved around opening up the main living space to create an open plan kitchen, dining and soft seating area that felt lighter, brighter and more sociable. The original steel supports that were hidden away were uncovered and painted in our bespoke ‘Bowler Black’, brick walls were exposed and a new wooden herringbone flooring installed to provide the perfect foundation for the new interior design of the project.

Spenlow cabinetry with polished nickel hardware finished in HM Tailored Grey (perimeter and TV cabinetry) and HM Bowler Black (island and steel beams) was specified to create a classic contemporary feel for the room.

Kitchen
The homeowners wanted their home to be a welcoming, calm and relaxed environment for the family to enjoy but they also love to entertain at home so the kitchen needed to look the part but also be a practical, working kitchen. As with many of our projects, the false chimney has been utilised to create a focal point in the room. Westin extraction is concealed within the chimney housing, with a powerful gas hob directly below and worktop space either side used as additional food prep space. Behind the hob is an antique effect mirror splashback that bounces light back into the room and keeps the cooking host connected to those sat at the island or soft seating area behind. Chimney niches have been integrated into either side of the chimney and are perfect for small useful items that might otherwise get lost at the back of a cupboard. Beneath the cooktop are two single pyrolytic ovens for maximum cooking convenience.

Cooking Run
To the far left of the cooking run is a large stainless steel French door Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer which has been designed into cabinetry with a shelf above for cookbooks. To the far left of the run is a crockery cupboard providing full height easy access storage for glassware and tableware. A day pantry is positioned to the right hand side of the island to provide dry food storage and a spot for countertop appliances and the microwave, while a wine cooler is positioned just to the left of the pantry with extra countertop space above.

The island is directly opposite the cooking run and has been designed to be used for the bulk of the food prep and has a large sink and polished nickel taps. Under the counter to the left of the sink is a pull-out bin, and to the right a dishwasher for quick and easy clearing away.

TV Cabinetry
As well as the kitchen, we also designed, manufactured and installed the TV cabinetry in the same Spenlow design as the kitchen. This cosy area is perfect for relaxing evenings at home and the bespoke design of the cabinetry provides space to display photographs and books with closed storage below for all the bits and pieces you don’t necessarily want out on show.

PROJECT DETAILS
We were delighted to be commissioned to work on the renovation of a detached family home in Holland Park. While the brief from our clients was to create a luxurious space that really celebrated the natural warmth and character of American walnut, we had to ensure that this was still a practical working kitchen that would suit entertaining on any scale.

Kitchen
The main cooking run features the very best in Wolf cooking technology with two M Series contemporary stainless steel single ovens and the Wolf induction hob which is housed within the false chimney. The Dual VertiCross system is the most advanced dual convection ever guaranteeing absolute precision every time. Measuring 762mm, these ovens have a capacity of 125L which is one of the most spacious built-in ovens on the market. This supersize oven combined with the Wolf Gourmet menu of almost 50 automatic preset controls, makes this the perfect oven for entertaining all year round. The Wolf induction cooktop heats cookware instantly and delivers precise control at both the high and low end all set on a cool, safe cooking surface. Space either side of the cooktop is great for plating up, while the antique effect mirror splashback allows the person cooking to continue the conversation and see what’s going on at the island behind them.

Island
Designated as the main prep space, the island has a centrally positioned double under-mounted Kohler deerfield sink with a Quooker hot water tap, Insinkerator waste disposal unit, soap dispenser and Perrin & Rowe Athenian mixer tap; all of which are finished in polished nickel. Either side of the sink is an integrated dishwasher and an integrated pull out bin which provides maximum convenience during food prep and for clearing away after meals. There is also seating on the island for four people with our bespoke Havisham counter stools also finished in American walnut with upholstered leather seats. Behind the seating area are reduced depth cupboards to provide additional storage for items used less frequently.

Storage
Storage is something this kitchen has in abundance with a double breakfast/drinks countertop cupboard, double pantry cupboard, column Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer as well as a single pantry cupboard that houses the Miele steam-microwave oven. Nearest the cooking run is a secret door leading into the utility room which is designed to look exactly like the Spenlow cupboard door ensuring the symmetry of the main storage run.

With extra height cabinetry, the glazed top boxes provide an understated illumination as does the integrated lighting set within the false chimney. Statement polished nickel pendant lights above the island suit the style of the room perfectly. Humphrey Munson also designed and made the dining table together with the Havisham dining chairs thereby ensuring the consistency of the design materials throughout.

PROJECT DETAILS

This open plan project is the end result of almost 18 months’ work restoring and renovating a dilapidated Victorian townhouse in Crouch End, London. A huge undertaking both in terms of the scale and complexity of the work involved, the finished project is now spread over five floors with the kitchen, dining area and wine room located in the basement that opens out onto a terrace and garden beyond. As keen cooks and wine lovers, this open plan space was designed with entertaining in mind and includes a kitchen, dining area, sitting area and wine room. The focus of the design brief was to create a space that felt spacious, calm and welcoming with excellent quality appliances, low maintenance materials and finishes that would allow for relaxed entertaining and an abundance of storage.

Kitchen

Spenlow cabinetry is used throughout the kitchen and dining area to provide a cool, contemporary feel with HM Portobello oak finish used throughout the cabinetry interiors and as an accent on the bookcases, on the table top and frames of the Havisham counter stools and Havisham dining chairs. The perimeter cabinetry is all finished in HM Tailored Grey, while the island and doors to the wine room and under-stairs storage are finished in HM Top Hat. All hardware including the Quilp knobs and taps, are finished in polished nickel for a sleek, contemporary look and feel.

Cooking Run

The main cooking run, set within a false chimney and designed to suit the scale and proportion of the room perfectly, has a Miele gas hob with 5 burners and a wok ring for maximum versatility. Westin extraction above provides the essential removal of odours during cooking in an open plan space and has easy to remove filters that can be washed in the dishwasher. Behind the cooking area is an antique effect mirror splashback which not only bounces the light back across the room but also allows the cook to continue conversations with guests.

Dining Area

Built in banquette seating designed for the large bay window provides the main dining area in the kitchen. This bespoke version of the HM Langham dining table, designed and made by HM, is extendable to seat up to 10 people. The table top is finished in Portobello oak to match the accent wood of the main kitchen, whilst the pedestal below has a painted finish to blend seamlessly with the banquette seating in the window behind. The comfortable yet stylish Havisham dining chairs mimic the larger counter stools which are finished in Portobello oak with the same off-white/grey leather ensuring a clean, contemporary style to this seating area.

Wine Room

The wine room was essential to the success of this project and is located just off the main kitchen area behind a sealed Georgian style door providing access into this climate controlled active wine storage area finished in Portobello oak, and offering optimum wine conditioning. The top racks have been designed for wine to lay horizontally with pantry-style tables below providing reduced depth countertop space and open shelving for storing cases of wine to ensure optimum wine climate conditions.

The Burford limestone weathered flooring is from HM Flooring Library and is available to order.

PROJECT DETAILS

The level of detail and thought that goes into the full scale refurbishment of a substantial grade II listed detached family home in Hampstead is nothing short of breath-taking.

We worked with the clients on this project to create a kitchen, utility / boot room and pantry that combined traditional cabinetmaking with a contemporary twist. The brief was to create a kitchen that was built to last –  both in terms of the design and the quality; future-proofing was the goal. This Hampstead project really has the best of both worlds – traditional, handmade cabinetry finished to the very highest standard and combined with the contemporary aesthetic of stainless steel industrial appliances.

Kitchen

The overall look and and feel is a classic London home designed with modern family living in mind. The details that have been so carefully assessed and implemented throughout the design process will ensure this project stays true to the original brief and provides the family with a series of spaces that are all about relaxed, sociable living.

Specifying the Spenlow cabinetry was an immediate and easy choice to ensure the cabinetry felt sleek and contemporary with the perimeter cabinetry painted in HM Tailored Grey and the island painted in HM Brolly Blue to really help anchor it within the room. The Quilp knobs on the cabinetry are finished in aged brass which really helps to soften the otherwise cool colour palette.

Cooking Run

The Wolf range cooker stands proud in a bespoke run adjacent to the utility room door. The positioning of the Wolf in front of the island with the main dining area located in under the glass lantern, provides maximum ease of use when entertaining – something this kitchen will see a great deal of in years to come. Friends and family are welcomed into the space and can easily perch at the island to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and snacks while the cook is busy finishing off bits and pieces on the other side of the island. The wine cooler is positioned on the island just along from the seating area and occupies the perfect spot with the large bespoke dresser cabinetry located opposite so that drinks can be served easily to guests arriving for dinner.

Island

On the prep side of the island, opposite the Wolf range cooker, is the main Kohler sink with aged brass taps by Perrin & Rowe as well as the Parthian hot tap for instant boiling water literally on-tap. Either side of the sink is the integrated Miele dishwasher and a pull out bin with a knife block insert in the drawer above so that food prep is easy and straightforward with everything you need instantly to hand.

The stainless steel Gaggenau French door fridge-freezer is positioned centrally and flanked by a tall crockery cupboard to the left hand side and a day pantry to the right hand side.

Pantry

The day pantry is also used for housing the coffee and tea making items as the main walk in pantry is just off the utility / boot room. There is plenty of storage in the day pantry drawers for everyday items with the main weight of dry food storage being taken care of within the walk in pantry.

Utility & Boot Room

Situated off the kitchen is the utility & boot room. With Spenlow cabinetry finished in HM Tailored Grey and built in bench storage the utility & boot room has an abundance of extra storage. As is typical of the space, utility rooms incorporate a sink area to help with heavy duty cleaning jobs. Belfast sinks are popular because of the large basin which is popular for cleaning larger items or soaking hand wash items of laundry. The integrated Miele washing machine and Miele tumble dryer ensure the room is fit for purpose.

PROJECT DETAILS

The Walton Barn project has undergone a large scale renovation which included extending the main kitchen area. The brief from the clients was very clear – they wanted a classic contemporary kitchen with dining space for 5-6. The clients didn’t like the idea of having a formal dining table in the kitchen as they have a separate dining room they wanted to utilise so designing an L-shape kitchen with an island incorporating banquette seating and therefore dining space was the perfect solution for the space.

The Spenlow cabinetry is a contemporary take on the traditional raised and fielded door panel and gives the kitchen a smart feel thanks to the clean lines of this design. The painted cabinetry is finished in HM Farthing II – a bespoke colour to HM manufactured exclusively by Mylands. The Quilps knobs are finished in weathered bronze. The accent wood in this kitchen is the Portobello dark oak and is used within the cabinetry interiors, the tambour door which conceals the toaster / breakfast area, integrated trays either side of the coffee machine machine and the Langham table and Havisham chairs.

Cooking Run

As an entertaining space, this kitchen has it all – the 1524mm Wolf dual fuel range cooker has two large ovens and as well as 6 stacked, sealed gas burners, it has a chargrill and teppanyaki on the top. The Wolf is housed within a false chimney which has bespoke HM Westin extraction incorporated and a contemporary overmantel. Either side of the range cooker are three drawer chests and then either side of the chimney are countertop cupboards with cupboards below. The large Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer provide plenty of cool storage for chilled and frozen goods.

Island

The island acts as the main prep area and has a prep sink with a pull out Eurocargo bin just below to the right hand side. The main washing up area is located underneath the window with views across the rolling countryside. Along with the large Kohler smart divide sink there is a Zip hot water / chilled / boiling tap as well as the main Athenian tap with rinse providing the usual hot and cold water.

Food Storage

On the other side of the island closest to the bi-fold doors is what looks like a bank of two sets of three drawer chests. Actually, one of these is a Fisher & Paykel cool drawer which can be switched from refrigerator to freezer, to wine storage, providing maximum flexibility throughout the year. During the summer months it can be stocked with cold drinks to serve the outdoor area beyond the bi-fold doors, while in the winter it can be switched to freezer mode for storing frozen fruits picked during the autumn.

Drinks Area

To the right of the sink run is the fully automatic Gaggenau espresso machine which features a continuous flow heater meaning no waiting time and a constant brewing temperature. Either side of the espresso machine are integrated trays finished in portobello oak, with glazed cabinetry above offering storage for servingware, tea, coffee beans, sugar etc. Below the coffee machine is a second Fisher & Paykel cool drawer which is used for storing the different milks and cool items to serve the drinks area.

Banquette

The banquette seating area has an upholstered cushion finished in a custom leather, with the same leather used on the Havisham chairs. Both the chairs and the Langham table were designed and manufactured by Humphrey Munson and are finished in the Portobello dark oak finish.

Utility Room

This utility room is finished in HM paint colour Farthing (an exclusive paint to Humphrey Munson by Mylands) and has a run of tall cabinetry on both sides to maximise space. The left side conceals three large cupboards which provide an abundance of storage for laundry etc whilst opposite on the right side is a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer and surrounded by cabinetry. At the far end of the utility is worktop space and beneath the counter, three dog beds – the perfect place for tired dogs to rest after a long walk.

Boot Room

The boot room in this project is finished in HM paint colour Farthing II to maintain continuity with the main kitchen. This small but mighty area has a large butler sink and aged brass tap that’s ideal for rinsing really muddy items of clothing or dirty hands from time spent gardening in the warm weather.

PROJECT DETAILS

This spectacular family home set in the rolling countryside of North West Essex features a huge open plan space comprising kitchen, dining area and living space. With bi-fold doors that open directly onto the pool area and landscaped garden beyond, this dream home has been renovated to the highest standard throughout. Designed by Peter Humphrey, Design Director and Founder of Humphrey Munson, this project really represents the ultimate in open plan living. The aesthetic of this space is very much understated opulence throughout which is balanced with a relaxed, welcoming feel that creates the perfect environment for entertaining family and friends.

Kitchen

The kitchen has Spenlow cabinetry finished with polished nickel hardware with a mix of painted cabinetry finished in HM Farthing II and American walnut cabinetry. The false chimney houses the Miele gas hob with open chimney niche cupboards and pan drawers below. Using the antique effect mirror splashback ensures that light is bounced back across the kitchen and also means whoever is cooking can see what is going on behind them and carry on conversations easily with those sat at the island. The extraction above the gas hob is a bespoke HM design manufactured by Westin. Either side of the chimney is a Miele single pyrolytic oven with the Miele ‘Sous Chef’ warming drawer located directly opposite the hob within the island.

Sink Run

With the main sink area looking out the garden, there are two countertop cupboards handily positioned at either end to be used as a breakfast cupboard and also a countertop appliance cupboard. The Shaws double butler sink has the classic Athenian tap with rinse, and Parthian hot water tap, both by Perrin & Rowe and both finished in chrome.

Refrigeration

The integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator, freezer and wine storage have stainless steel doors with tubular handles and are positioned with the day pantry to the left and the drinks pantry to the right all finished in American walnut.

Dining Area

The large dining table to seat 10-12 has an American walnut base with a stone top finished with a bespoke bullnose finish. Using the same American walnut as the kitchen gives a sense of continuity to the dining area while the quartz stone top is a practical solution that ensures a relaxed approach to modern family living.

Living Area

We designed the Spenlow cabinetry to run the full length of the wall housing the TV area with shelving space for photographs, cookery books and decorative accessories. With a large L-shaped sofa, and coffee table, this area provides a comfortable soft seating area for the family to relax.

PROJECT DETAILS

With a cool, crisp colour palette and stainless steel appliances throughout, this contemporary Spenlow kitchen suits this smart family home in Buckhurst Hill perfectly. As with all our projects, the starting point for the design was function first so zoning the food preparation, cooking, dining and clearing away areas was critical to the success of the space. As you walk into the kitchen your eye is immediately drawn across the island towards the false chimney with its contemporary overmantel that gives the room a definitive focal point. Either side of the chimney are countertop cupboards with pull out pot cupboards below.

The contemporary look and feel of the Spenlow cabinetry suits this space really well particularly when paired with the polished nickel Quilp handles. Cabinetry interiors are finished in HM American Walnut which balances the coolness of the grey colour palette. The perimeter cabinetry is finished in HM Tailored Grey while the island is painted in HM Farthing II.

Cooking Run

The Wolf range cooker has a teppanyaki plate with six gas burners and the clients added the bake stone which is used for baking bread and for cooking pizzas and flatbreads. The Westin extraction housed in the false chimney is a bespoke HM design that we specify for this type of range cooker. The left hand side single countertop cupboard is used as a baking cupboard and is used to house the KitchenAid mixer with baking ingredients conveniently stored above. The right hand side double countertop cupboard is used as a hot drinks cupboard with the coffee machine positioned conveniently on the countertop and cups, mugs and tea and coffee essentials stored above.

Sink Run

The main sink run has the white enamelled Kohler Deerfield smart divide sink and Quooker Stainless Steel Nordic Square Twin Taps. The Miele integrated dishwasher is located to the right hand side of the sink run with the Eurocargo pull out bin is behind on the island. Storage space under the sink is perfect for keeping cleaning products while door racks make it easy to pick everyday items like dishwasher tablets quickly and with little fuss.

Storage

Adjacent to the sink run is a run of tall Spenlow cabinetry encompassing the day pantry, Sub-Zero refrigerator and crockery cupboard. The Sub-Zero under-counter wine storage is positioned at the end of the island towards the seating area and crockery cupboard so wine and champagne can be easily served away from the main cooking and food prep areas.

Island

The large kitchen island has been kept deliberately clear as the clients wanted to the overall space to feel calm and uncluttered with plenty of food prep space as well as a place for two to sit and eat. The island side closest to the bi-fold doors has six large Spenlow drawers which provide masses of additional storage for the kitchen.

The Earl Grey natural limestone flooring with underfloor heating throughout gives a natural feel to the kitchen and is available from the HM Flooring Library.

Utility Room

The utility room has been finished in HM paint colour Tailored Grey to help maintain continuity with the main kitchen nearby. At the centre is a large butler sink and Perrin & Rowe tap finished in polished nickel, under the counter either side is a Miele washing machine (to the left) and tumble dryer (to the right). Opposite are two tall cupboards with shelving for storing dry clothes, towels and bed linens as well as cleaning products to help take storage pressure off other areas of the home.

PROJECT DETAILS

The Wilton House project has undergone extension and at times, quite complicated, building renovations so from our first meeting with the clients in our showroom in Felsted, Essex to the installation, well over two years had passed. During that time our design team, project management team and installation teams have worked tirelessly to ensure the kitchen was the jewel in the crown in this stunning family home.

The clients wanted a big open plan kitchen with space for a large dining table and seating area so that the whole family could enjoy the space together in the evenings and weekends and of course during the holidays. The huge roof lantern floods the room with natural light while bi-fold doors open out on to the garden and pool beyond.

Cooking Run

The kitchen has just one – albeit sizeable – run and a large island with seating for three. The focal point is the bespoke false chimney with the Wolf range cooker featuring the teppanyaki and chargrill options on the gas top. To the left of the chimney are three double wall cupboards for storing tableware, glassware and servingware with plenty of countertop space below. To the right is a double countertop cupboards which open on bi-fold doors so they can be left open easily during the day. The large Sub-Zero fridge freezer is to the far right and deliberately positioned close to the hallway entrance with the lower level part of the island in front to act as a handy spot to put groceries down when coming in with the shopping.

Island

The island acts as the main prep area in the kitchen with the large Kohler smart divide sink, Perrin & Rowe athenian tap and rinse, and classic Quooker hot water tap all finished in polished Nickel. Either side of the sink is a Miele integrated dishwasher with the Eurocargo pull out bin to the far left. Drawers are a big source of storage in this kitchen with a bank of drawers at the end of the island to service the dining area, while banks of large drawers feature along the main cooking run. A Miele wine cooler is located on the opposite side of the island near the seating area to provide easy access to everyday wines while the main storage is located in the corkscrew wine cellar by Spiral Cellars.

The cabinetry in this kitchen has Spenlow doors and is a mix of American walnut and painted cabinetry which is finished in HM Linen. The Quilp handles together with the tapware are all finished in polished Nickel which gives a really understated luxe feel to the space. When you walk into this kitchen it has a real wow factor due to the scale and proportion of the kitchen, but after the initial ‘wow’ it instantly feels warm and welcoming. It’s always hugely rewarding to see projects installed after many months of work, but for these lovely clients, who have worked tirelessly for years creating their family home, it’s a dream come true to move in and start living and enjoying these spaces.

Utility Room

The utility room sits just off the main kitchen and has been painted HM Linen to maintain continuity and flow throughout the project. To the right of the room is a sink run with a large butler sink, worktop space either side and storage both above (a walnut artisan shelf) and below in the form of cupboards. Beside this sink run is a tall utility cupboard which is equipped with enough space for an ironing board to stand in the left-hand side and a vacuum to stand in the open section to the right (with charging point to rear). Shelving above provides a great spot for the iron, detergents and other cleaning aids well out of reach of pets and little ones hands.

Directly opposite to the left-hand side of the room are two Miele washing machines and a tumble dryer to help with the copious amount of washing a young energetic family entails. Large cupboards above provide plenty of space for linens, towels and detergent storage.

PROJECT DETAILS

Located on the cusp of Epping Forest in Theydon Bois, this incredible property has been subject to an extensive renovation that has lasted over two years and completely transformed the space into a classic contemporary family home. With a young family and busy everyday lives, the homeowners wanted a space that was family-orientated but also suitable for entertaining friends and family at weekends. Overcoming extensive structural issues such as the removal of a large chimney was a time-consuming process, but the end result meant that the space for the kitchen, dining and living areas are sufficiently open enough to really encompass modern family living.

The contemporary clean lines of the Spenlow kitchen suit this space perfectly especially with the soft grey colour palette of our own HM paint colour Tailored Grey and the muted tone of the Smithfield oak finish used on the island and dining area cabinetry. The use of the Smithfield oak finish was particularly appropriate given the property is situated on the fringe of Epping Forest and really fits in with the idea of bringing the outdoors in and creating a relaxed and welcoming space.

Cooking

With a large Spenlow island and a huge false chimney surround for the Wolf range cooker, there is plenty of space for food prep on the island where the prep sink and Quooker hot tap are located with integrated dishwasher and pull out bin handily positioned either side.

Island

The clients wanted the space to have a relaxed and welcoming feel so designating the island for food prep means they can cook and chat to family and friends at the same time. The island has seating for the children to have meals during the day and a spot to serve pre-dinner drinks in the evening.

Refrigeration

To the left of the cooking run is the large Sub-Zero fridge freezer while to the right is the day pantry which is used for storing all the dry goods and ingredients. Locating the main fridge freezer and pantry either side of the chimney means that everything is easily to hand – no mean feat in such a large space.

Sink Run

The main sink run is on the far side with a large deerfield sink and second dishwasher and pull out eurocargo bin – this area is tucked just around the corner from the dining area and means tableware and glassware can be easily cleared away after meals.

Dining Area

The kitchen dining area is framed by the bespoke Spenlow cabinetry finished in Smithfield oak with double doors leading out to the utility room and boot room which are nearby but hidden from view from the main kitchen. A large Smithfield pantry cupboard is used for storing additional tableware but could also be utilised as a breakfast pantry, while the two Sub-Zero wine preservation units provide ample storage for wines and champagnes.

Just along from the main kitchen is the living area – an informal space for the family to watch television and enjoy movie nights. With the kitchen, dining and living areas all separated into distinctive zones, the space reflects the versatility of modern family living.

Utility Room

A dream utility room with Spenlow cabinetry painted in HM Tailored Grey and finished with polished nickel quilp handles. At the centre of the run is a butler sink with a Perrin & Rowe Ionian tap and rinse and under the counter either side of the sink is a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer. The right side of this utility room has a thermostatically controlled drying cupboard which can be neatly hidden away behind Spenlow cabinetry – perfect for busy families.

Boot Room

This boot room has a wall of Spenlow cabinetry to the left hand side and to the right, bench seating used for storage as well as providing a place to pull on shoes and prepare a bag before heading out for the day.

PROJECT DETAILS

The Spenlow kitchen design really suits the classic contemporary feel of this Victorian family home in Chelmsford, Essex. With two young children, the homeowners wanted a versatile space that was suitable for everyday family life but also somewhere they could entertain family and friends easily.

Embracing the classic HM design values of symmetry, simplicity, proportion and restraint, the Spenlow design is an understated, contemporary take on classic English cabinetry design. With metallic accents throughout – from the pendant lighting, to the polished nickel hardware, this design is the perfect balance of classic and contemporary.

Cooking Area & Chimney

The large chimney with range cooker is perfectly proportioned to the space and allows the homeowners to easily prepare and then cook with everything to hand. The chimney has inset open niches for easily access to everyday condiments, and space either side of the range for prep and putting pans down. The antique effect mirror splashback allows the light to bounce around the room and keeps the cooking area light and bright.

Breakfast Pantry

To the left of the main cooking area is the breakfast pantry which houses the coffee machine and provides storage for everyday items like tea and coffee, and also plenty of space for cups, mugs and tableware. The deep drawers below provide a mass of storage for dry goods like bread and snacks.

Island

Designated as the main prep area, the island has the large Kohler smart divide sink which is flanked by the integrated dishwasher and pull out eurocargo bin. There is seating at the island by Vincent Sheppard which provides so much usability throughout the day.

Pantry

The walk in larder has our HM artisan shelves all the wall around in a classic u-shape design. A utilitarian space, the larder provides masses of additional storage allowing the main kitchen to remain free and uncluttered ensuring a calm and welcoming feel.

Weathered Oak Refectory Table

PROJECT DETAILS

We were delighted to work with the homeowners of this breathtakingly beautiful luxury home in Ascot, Berkshire to create their dream kitchen.

Kitchen

Comprising a large open plan kitchen / dining space, utility room, boot room and laundry room, the project was almost a completely blank canvas. With three young children, the home needed to serve the needs of the family first but also needed to be suitable for entertaining on a reasonably large level.

Cooking

The kitchen features a host of cooking appliances designed with entertaining in mind including the legendary Wolf dual fuel range cooker with charbroiler and teppanyaki with bespoke extraction by Westin above. Opposite the Wolf range cooker and integrated into the island are a Miele microwave and Miele sous chef warming drawer.

Island

The large kitchen island acts as the main prep area and includes a Villeroy & Boch Double Butler Sink with insinkerator waste disposal, Perrin & Rowe Callisto Mixer Tap with rinse and a Quooker Pro Vaq 3 Classic tap finished in polished nickel. The eurocargo recycling pullout bins are located in the island with a Miele dishwasher handily located either side to ensure maximum efficiency. Choosing the iconic Sub-Zero fridge freezer for this kitchen was a super choice for this large kitchen and dining area and provides ample storage.

Dining Area

The dining area has a Weathered Oak Refectory Table by Humphrey Munson. The table seats 10 so works really well for entertaining friends and family in the open plan kitchen / dining area. The seating is by Vincent Sheppard which is perfect for a family with young children because they are so easy to maintain.
