ALL THE Interior Design Details yOU NEED TO KNOW Published: 04-07-2025 The interior of the Hampshire Beach House project was carefully guided by the HM team, from the larger elements such as the Kingcome sofa to the finer details like the Fromental wallpaper in the bathroom. At HM we’re proud to have an amazingly dedicated and talented team who can assist you through your entire design process as much or as little as you’d like. Whether it’s curating the entire room or simply helping you choose the correct fabric for your dining chairs. No matter the scale of your project, our team is always happy to lend a hand and bring your vision to life. The Hampshire Beach House project was built within a truly exceptional oak barn, designed manufactured and installed by Prime Oak, a family run business who create completely bespoke designs completely tailored to their clients specifications. The barn features an outdoor kitchen, kitchenette, dining room, soft seating area and bathroom, creating the ultimate indoor/outdoor entertaining space. PREP Kitchen > dining space > soft seating > bathroom > For this special notebook feature we thought it would be beneficial to separate the space room by room and explore the details of each zone that was carefully curated by the HM team in collaboration with the clients. pREP Kitchen The prep kitchen is the perfect place for little odd jobs such as washing up dishes or preparing salads, to take the pressure off the main outdoor kitchen. The Nickleby cabinetry is finished in ‘Soot’, with mid antique brass waxed Quilp handles. We specified artisan shelving above (finished in ‘Mainsail’) so the space didn’t feel too dense and heavy without compromising on storage space. Dining space The round Langham dining table is finished in Berkeley oak with 6 Havisham dining chairs upholstered in Perennials ‘Whippersnapper – Chalk’. The dining area provides the perfect space to sit inside, perhaps to enjoy the shade, while still enjoying the outside, especially with both sets of bifold doors open. The table is laid with Burleigh’s ‘Regal Peacock’ in Green. Soft Seating The soft seating area features media cabinetry by HM finished in ‘Mainsail’ with a Berkeley oak interior, the sofa is the Manhattan chaise sofa by Kingcome paired with a Porta Romana Giacometti Coffee Table and Clasp side tables from Loom. The space is perfect for settling into an old movie after a delicious BBQ or watching sports with friends. The Crucial trading rug cleverly zones the space and provides a cosier atmosphere for more relaxed moments. Bathroom The bathroom was heavily influenced by a Sophie Patterson design, featuring our Constantine I vanity unit finished in Berkeley oak with a bespoke Calacatta Viola Monet marble top with bullnose edge detail and pip handles in mix antique brass waxed. The bespoke Butt & Bead panelling is finished in HM ‘Lock & Load’ which pairs beautifully with the statement Fromental ‘Oak Leaf’ wallpaper. The door is our HM Oxford door, finished in Berkeley oak with Samuel Heath hardware. The Heathfield & Co ‘Thea’ Wall Lights sit on either side of a Porta Romana Trevose mirror.
