Baked pears with vanilla ice cream Published: 12-10-2025 A deliciously light autumnal dessert that combines warming flavours with fresh fruit and ice cream. This recipe is ridiculously easy and takes no time at all to prepare. Ingredients 3 pears halved and cored Maple syrup to coat 2 tbsp of melted butter 1 tbsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp ground ginger Vanilla ice cream Chopped pecans to garnish Method Begin by preheating the oven to 180°C. Place the pears into your chosen dish and add the maple syrup, melted butter and spices. Give everything a good stir to ensure the pears are fully coated and bake for 40-45 minutes. Before serving, place a scoop of vanilla ice cream into the centre of each pear and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
