How to choose tiles for outdoor kitchens

Published:

For this incredible space the Heckfield Limestone Weathered was the perfect choice; its a beautiful, light, natural stone that works perfectly with the European oak Markham cabinetry. The Heckfield tiles are bursting with character due to the visible fossils and fissures scattered across the surface and are suited for both indoor and outdoor use due to the tumbled and etched finish, which is created by sandblasting making the stone surface less slippery and giving a softer more muted finish.

The Radcliffe Terracotta Tiles were specifically requested by the clients for the backsplash/walls, for their striking visual impact and look. Their earthy red hue, derived from the naturally high iron content in the clay, adds warmth and depth to the space, complementing the oak frame of the building and enhancing the spaces inviting, beach house charm. The result is a soft, characterful finish that our clients love.

The use of the Heckfield Limestone across both the interior and exterior of the project creates a clear sense of continuity and cohesion that links the indoor and outdoor areas in a subtle yet effective way, making the transition feel natural and intentional.

Heckfield Limestone Weathered prices start at £95 per SQM including VAT and the Radcliffe Terracotta Tile prices start at £75 per SQM including VAT.
