M&E CAD Technician

We are looking for an experienced M&E CAD Technician to join our team based at HMHQ in Felsted, Essex.

Humphrey Munson has an unparalleled reputation for excellence in the design, manufacturing and installation of their projects across the UK and the world. We specialise in kitchens but also undertake cabinetry design and installation in all rooms of the home. From multi-million pound new builds to listed renovations, the projects are wide ranging, complex in detail and exquisitely finished.

This key role of M&E CAD Technician revolves around the preparation of accurate drawings to assist with critical M&E placement in HM projects and updating such drawings post survey.

You will be working closely with the design, project management and installation teams at HM as well as the UK’s leading architect practices and interior designers on the very best and biggest projects being undertaken across the country.

The role of M&E CAD Technician will involve the following:

  • Producing preliminary issue service drawings, installation and worktop drawings for kitchens, bathrooms and all other rooms within the home, and then revising and reissuing as required.
  • Liaising with the design team to ensure the design intention is adhered to with regard to amendments.
  • Ensuring the main contractor teams and engineer specialists on the various projects have all the correct information in order to complete projects to the exacting standard expected by our clients.
  • Maintaining an accurate directory of all required drawings on the HM server.
  • Ensuring accurate referencing of drawings, including revisions required post production survey and post installation survey.
  • Producing all such other drawings as required by the project management team and installation to ensure the smooth running of projects.

The following specific skills are required:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with exposure to bespoke kitchen design.
  • Excellent knowledge / experience of Adobe Illustrator.
  • Ability to produce clear and comprehensive drawings.
  • Knowledge of M&E and building practices and experience in delivery of building projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Positive working attitude.
  • Passion for design and technical drafting.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop skills.

Full time role: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
