A large extension to the rear of this family home in Ascot, Berkshire provided the foundation for this beautifully balanced open-plan living space where each zone flows effortlessly into the next. The classic Nickleby cabinetry suits this space perfectly, especially with the soft blue/green tone of our Yardarm paint colour on the large island and Mainsail on the perimeter cabinetry. The entire room is bursting with light thanks to the timber framed skylights and traditional glazing by Westbury. This really brings the outside in and creates a beautiful open room that is perfect for both relaxing and entertaining.
The state of the art Gaggeneau appliances and enormous amounts of prep space on the island means this is the perfect ‘cooks kitchen’. With a large double sink, Quooker tap, integrated dishwasher, bin and more this kitchen features everything one could need.
To the left of the cooking run is the large Gaggenau fridge freezer with matching wine fridge, to the right of this is the incredibly functional walk-in pantry which is used for storing all the dry goods and ingredients. Also featuring an additional integrated dishwasher and prep space for when things get really busy.
Zoning has been very carful considered in this kitchen, with three different seating options available. The banquette seating on the island is perfect for relaxed family dinners while the island stools offer an alternative option for a quick breakfast or pre-dinner drink, then for hosting larger groups, the dining table is perfect.
At the far right of the kitchen, beside the window seat, the bespoke bar sits neatly behind bifold doors. Positioned here for easy access, away from the main cooking zone, the bar features an elegant mirror backsplash and timber framed glazed shelves so that the integrated lighting can cascade down through the cabinetry.

At the Ascot project, we thoughtfully designed the open-plan kitchen and pantry, dining and soft seating space to be effortlessly scalable, with clearly defined zones that create structure without compromising flow. Whether it’s the family enjoying a quiet mid-week meal together or hosting a larger family gathering, the space always feels welcoming, warm and spacious.

As well as kitchens, we also design, manufacture and install cabinetry throughout the rest of the home.
