Ceder’s | Distilled Non-Alcoholic Gin

Published:

Summer is quite simply the perfect time of year to be outside enjoying the beautiful, blissfully warm weather with friends and family. If, like us, you are all too temped to pop open a bottle of bubbly but are trying to avoid alcohol – or maybe it’s your turn to drive – you no longer have to feel left out because you can now indulge in a glass of CEDER’S non-alcoholic gin, which is the perfect thirst quenching indulgence this summer.

For those of you who haven’t yet heard of this ground breaking new drink, CEDER’S is a distilled non-alcoholic alt-gin made with classic gin and exotic South African botanicals, found only in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape.

Founded in early 2017, when husband and wife Craig and Maria (Craig is South African and Maria is Swedish) discovered an enchanting valley nestled in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape, South Africa. The valley, which they now co-own, is home to many intriguing botanicals, including rooibos (an evergreen South African shrub of the pea family) and buchu (a plant thought to help fight infections), used for thousands of years by indigenous peoples of South Africa. It inspired them to distil classic gin and exotic Cape botanicals, and then blend this with ancient and pure Swedish water.

CEDER’S is then bottled in Sweden, after blending with pristine Swedish water. The result is a luxurious feeling distilled non-alcoholic alt-gin that allows you to escape and find harmony as Swedish style and perfection is juxtaposed with wild South African botanicals, creating the perfect ‘serve’ to unwind with.

CEDER’S currently has a range of three distilled non-alcoholic gins to choose from and these include; Crisp, a refreshing blend of classic gin botanicals like juniper and citrus combined with cucumber and calming camomile. Classic, a blend of classic gin botanicals such as juniper and coriander with hints of geranium and Cape floral fynbos. Last but not least is Wild, a blend of the same classic gin botanicals such as juniper and ginger combined with clove and rooibos.

We are so pleased to have discovered a characteristic alt-gin that can be enjoyed everyday, but we have to admit that CEDER’s would be particularly crisp and thirst-quenching in the sunshine this summer.
