Interior Styling with LuxDeco | Country House Project, Hampshire

Published:

At a recent shoot in Hampshire, we specified the majority of the decorative accessories from LuxDeco to style the open shelving in the dining room area of the kitchen. The clients had not long moved into the finally finished country house so Louisa Eggleston, our Creative Director, specified the decorative accessories from LuxDeco to ensure the styling was finished perfectly. The really lovely thing was that the clients loved the styling so much they purchased every piece after the shoot which was a huge compliment and we were delighted that they were so happy.

“Our clients wanted a true classic contemporary look and feel for this extended space in their country house because while parts of the original house date back to the Tudor era, they are a young family with modern tastes and this space really needed to reflect that…” Louisa Eggleston, Creative Director at HM

The contemporary extension was designed by the brilliant Neil Armitage at Re-Format and this fabulous shot above captured by Paul Craig really highlights the balance of classic and contemporary architectural design.

The cabinetry interior is Portobello oak with a painted exterior finished in Duffle – one of the bespoke colours to HM produced exclusively for us by Mylands. The accessories that were chosen reflected the cool, calm palette, and since this kitchen was all about bringing the outdoors in with those huge doors that open out onto the garden, the accessories that were chosen are made of natural materials with just a few hints of metallics for an understated feeling of luxury”.

This was one of the first pieces that was selected was this statement Ginger Leaf marble bowl impressively hand carved from a solid piece of white Ambaji marble for a refined aesthetic that evokes purity and timeless beauty.

We loved this pair of white marble petal bowls which add such a sleek contemporary style offsetting the sculptural shape and keeping a cool minimal feel.

We also styled the dining table with the beautiful wheat shagreen serving tray which has delicate embossing that lends this design a heritage inspired feel and brings a little textural interest to an understated colour palette.
