The long awaited Market Halls in Fulham, Broadway is about to open and we couldn’t be more excited. Opening on 8th May 2018 from 8am-11pm, Market Hall shall offer a diverse and eclectic mix of food, highlighting the incredible local food vendors of West London all under one roof.

Although food halls are nothing new, the aim of the Market Hall is to create a permanent, unique fixture of dining hubs that work with and for the local communities. The buildings used to house the food halls were originally commercial or cultural hubs bustling with people. The idea is to not only bring them back to life but make them useful spaces for all to cater for locals, workers and families alike and connect people to the area.

The first confirmed in the line-up is Claude’s Deli. Created by Claude Compton, a neighbourhood restauranteur who is extending his nearby Claude’s Kitchen to an all-day eatery, Claude’s Deli. With simple good quality ingredients and a core value of real food the deli will offer British food with a selection of homemade bread, pastries, cheese boards, charcuterie and an abundance of seasonal fruit and vegetables. The menu will also include salad bowls, sandwiches and soups.

The second in the line-up is Yard Sale. Born out of three friends love of Pizza and beginning life in a backyard in Clapton, co-owners Nick Buckland, Dan Spinney and Johnnie Tate, these three mates now have four bustling shops across the East and North London. Their double fermented pizza bases are what makes the award-winning pizza flavour so special and when topped with only the finest ingredients from locally sourced producers this winning combination is a guaranteed hit that the masses will enjoy.

Farang’s Seb Holmes unique new Thai concept – Thima – is another much anticipated addition to the hall with it’s pared back and simple approach to Southeast Asian food that has gained Farang critical acclaim.

If a caffeine fix is what you are searching for then Press Coffee will be your pit stop. The team sources and roasts the highest quality beans from all over the world, from 15 different countries to be exact. We’ll raise a cup to that!

Market Halls Fulham is the first of three large venues to open this year in london. The site will be housed in the ornate and well-preserved entrance hall of the Edwardian Underground station in Fulham, Broadway which still has the original ticket hall from 1880 station. It will have 10 kitchens, a bar and seating for 180 people. The second to open will be Market Hall Victoria which will be a transformation of the Victorian Terminus Place, and last but not least. The third to open shall be Market Hall, West End which shall be the flagship of the three set just off Oxford Street in part of the former BHS building.

The team of two working hard to make all this possible are Andy lewis-Pratt and Simon Anderson. Andy is the CEO of Market Halls and has over 35 years of experience in the property, retail and leisure sector. Simon Anderson is the restaurants and operations director of Market Halls, a serial entrepreneur with huge success in the food, beverage and a background in marketing and advertising. With their collective experience and skills they are a team to be reckoned with and their collaborative creation is incredible.

The final line-up will be announced soon but for now it sounds like its going to be a true taste sensation that we cannot wait to try.
