The Longford pantry in our Felsted showroom has recently undergone a bit of a facelift and we wanted to share these new images on the HM blog so you could all see. We’ve always said that hand-painted cabinetry makes the ultimate recyclable kitchen because you can easily change the colour after 5/10 years if you want to.
The original Longford pantry was installed in 2015, so we felt like it was time for a little change…
The cabinetry design works so well in this space so it was just the worktops and paint colours we changed.
The paint colour on the left hand side of the room and the lower pantry tables on the right hand side is a new HM colour ‘Helm’ – a brighter more vibrant blue developed exclusively for Humphrey Munson clients by Peter Humphrey and Mylands.
The walls and artisan shelves are finished in HM ‘Linen’ a wonderful neutral shade used to brilliant effect here as the contrast to the dark worktops. The artisan shelves are so great for everything you want to see at a glance – we love the mix of Kilner jars for storage of baking ingredients and jars / tins.
The mini-ladder is still a key feature in the room and provides easy access to the upper shelves. For us this is the ultimate dream pantry that you just walk into and get that jolt of nostalgia. As a child the walk in pantry always represented the ultimate Aladdin’s cave of goodies so we wanted to re-create that feeling in here by including Kilner jars of favourite retro sweet treats.
Caesarstone recently brought out a new quartz called ‘Black Tempal’ and it reminded us of the Belgian blue limestone we absolutely love but don’t specify due to issues with staining and durability. There is so much movement and depth to this quartz it’s amazing to think this is completely man-made.
We will record an IGTV for this new Longford pantry soon and share so keep an eye on instagram to get a live tour. In the meantime, to see more images of this space click here.
