NORTON | The perfect table for an entrance hall

Published:

Effortlessly elegant, the Norton dining table is handmade using traditional joinery techniques at Humphrey Munson’s workshop in Felsted, Essex. Distinctly different from other tables available in our range, the curved legs have been beautifully designed to create a touch of refined elegance without taking itself too seriously.

For those who don’t know, this table was designed by Peter Humphrey in remembrance of Joanna Norton, our beloved Officer Manager at HM who sadly passed away in 2021. The Norton table is now a tribute to celebrate the life of Joanna and serves as a constant reminder to love your life and enjoy every day, to the fullest extent. In essence, don’t waste a second!

A show-stopping focal point to the entrance hall at the Chigwell project, the Norton is finished in Montagu oak and has been expertly styled, so that no matter the angle, it looks amazing. This fuss free table works so well with the neutral tones of the Verbier engineered oak floor and HM artificial olive tree that to walk into this home truly invokes a feeling of calm. Something we all very much need to help decompress after a long day at work.

More than just a table, the true beauty of the Norton is that it is suited to entrance halls, as well as formal and informal dining rooms in equal measure. The perfect centrepiece for both country homes and contemporary settings alike, the Norton is available in both a circular and rectangular shape, three sizes and six timber finishes. A quotation for a quartz top is also available upon request for an added touch of luxury.

In honour of our beloved colleague and to help both current and future cancer sufferers, we will donate 10% of the proceeds from every Norton table purchased to Cancer Research.
