Table styling for the summer

There is a White Company store around the corner from our kitchen showroom in St. Albans which I regularly visit to stock up on room fragrances, candles etc. We use the Pomegranate room diffusers by the White Company and it’s amazing how many visitors to the St. Albans showroom ask where we get it from! The aromatic pomegranate and mandarin combine together to create a really soothing patchouli and amber fragrance – definitely one to look out for.

I always keep a little pile of my favourite brochures and catalogues to look through with a cup of tea, and yesterday while I was looking at the White Company catalogue I saw so many lovely summer accessories in their latest edition that are absolutely perfect for entertaining this summer.

The artisan stoneware range is made exclusively for the White Company in Portugal and finished with a unique speckled glaze. I love the pasta bowls and plates – especially the oval plate with the little jug.

The White Company - Summer Table Styling

Stripes are perfect for summer table styling as they bring that coastal feel to the table – the Ile De Re table runner and napkins pictures above are absolutely perfect. (Handily, these also have 30% off online at the moment so snap them up quick).

The stoneware pictured above is from the a new collection which has a glossy white finish with a pale grey hand-painted trim. I couldn’t resist ordering the stoneware serving platter shown above – perfect for summer salads.

The styling of the image above really sums up the idea of summer being all about simple pleasures – no news, no shoes. Using natural materials like linen is a great way to create a simple, rustic table setting especially when pared with a simple bunch of foliage in the Antibes wide vase by the White Company.

For evening entertaining, these bistro bulb lights hung over the metal crooks are a great way to bring low-level lighting to your outside space.
