With more than two decades of providing stunning original artworks of all shapes and sizes to thousands of visitors every year, the Affordable Art Fair is the go-to place for experienced collectors and first-time art buyers alike.
Introduced in December 2019, new specially-curated print and photography themes for Affordable Art Fair’s Battersea Spring and Hampstead Fairs will serve as features to help visitors and art lovers learn more about these covetable mediums.
This also further amplifies the Fair’s core mission to make the art world more available as well as making its fairs innovative and engaging places for everyone to discover the joy of collecting.
‘Access’ will run alongside each Fair’s existing and exciting line-up of national and international galleries – ensuring visitors get Affordable Art Fair’s signature eclectic mix of art.
Battersea: The Spring Fair, running from 12 – 15th March 2020 will show a focus on prints and multiples from a list of cutting-edge and established artists will help to guide visitors through one of the most popular mediums of the decade.
From woodcuts to lithographs, originals to limited editions, Affordable Art Fair will answer questions from anybody looking to collect prints among the minefield of choices.
Hampstead: From 30th April to 3rd May, the Hampstead location is aimed at photography buffs and keen Instagrammers alike, this handpicked selection of fine-art photography will explore the breadth and depth of the ever popular medium.
The new themes are the brainchild of Elizabeth Dellert, Affordable Art Fair’s new UK Fair Director. Her appointment follows 20 years of successful growth for the brand, which has seen Affordable Art Fair expand from its first edition in Battersea Park in 1999 to 10 countries around the world, selling work to almost 200,000 art buyers annually.
Elizabeth Dellert, Affordable Art Fair, UK Fair Director, says:
“The Affordable Art Fair has helped over 2.5m people discover the joy of collecting art since its start 20 years ago. These new themes – Prints in Battersea and Photography in Hampstead – will help visitors better access these mediums, and provide the opportunity to buy great work from established artists through to rising stars.
We hope this will inspire anybody looking to collect their first ever piece of art work or give their home a spring revamp, to visitors who have been collecting with us for years and consider this the highlight of their art buying calendar.”
This year, the Affordabe Art Fair is offering a ‘Season Ticket’ to help art lovers experience the offerings at both spring fairs. The joint ticket will allow visitors flexible entry – anytime from Thursday to Sunday at both the Battersea Spring and Hampstead editions – for just £20 (plus booking fee), a 25% saving on adult weekend entry to both.
Each Fair will continue to feature workshops, talks and activities for adults and children (or the young at heart) – all with the aim of sharing the joy of collecting and creating art.
