Surrounded by 66 acres of vibrant meadows, cool streams and woodland that begs to be explored, Coombeshead Farm is without a doubt one of the best boutique country hotels in the UK.

This year, due to COVID-19, Coombeshead have opened up the farmhouse for exclusive hire only. Coombeshead is a unique farmhouse getaway that offers the whole house to roam as well as the garden.

Guests are left to their own devices for the duration of the stay and staff ensure they are at arms length, however, they can be on hand to answer any questions and provide assistance to guests as needed.

The home offers five double bedrooms with en suites and one adult sized bunk (two rooms can be made into twin beds on request). Guests will be very much left to their own devices during their stay at Coombeshead however breakfast, lunch and dinner is tailored to suit requirements and desires (within guidelines and social distancing stipulations of course).

The garden and larder are abundant and an honesty bar and cellar will be open for the duration of the stay allowing you to help yourself to various tipples.

Three meals per day; breakfast, lunch and dinner plus tea and coffee is all included in the price. Additional drinks and alcoholic drinks are charged additionally when checking out. Coombeshead also operates a wine pre-order system, however guests are also encouraged to choose a bottle of their choice from the cellar throughout the stay.

Coombeshead is not just a beautiful place to stay, it is also a working farm with regular production of a selection of delicious goods that can be ordered online for collection from the farm or to any mainland UK address.

The selection is utterly mouthwatering, from Coombeshead country sourdough bread (requires 48 hours notice if you’d like to get your hands on a loaf), or Coombeshead black bee honey and Middlewhite breakfast sausages to clotted cream fudge. Peruse the larder selection here.

It’s worth noting that to manage the volume of guests and staff at the farm during any one time, the farmhouse is offered for a four night stay each week from Thursday to Sunday. This allows the house to be empty for 72 hours between guests and ensures a deep clean can be completed.
