PROJECT DETAILS
Each new project brings new ideas and new incredible spaces. Built in the 18th century this Grade II listed home was the perfect canvas to design and create a fuss free kitchen and pantry for the young family to eat, work and live in on a day to day basis. We also designed the cabinetry and dining table in the adjoining dining room, boot room and utility room.

Open plan kitchen zoned for functionality and symmetry. The left side of the kitchen features open shelving for cookbooks, tableware etc. At the centre is an island used for food prep and has banquette seating and Berkeley oak table for informal week-night dinners. At the far end of the kitchen is the cooking run with a countertop breakfast hidden behind painted cabinetry on the left, this flows on to an AGA which has worktop spaceside side for prep that leads to a scullery run for quick and easy clearing away.

Kitchen
Zoned to perfection, the kitchen has areas for food prep (the island to the left), cooking (the AGA) and clearing away (the sink run to the right). Open shelving to the right of the AGA keeps all glassware in one easy to reach place whilst leaving available worktop space below for food prep.

Storage & Pantry
This countertop breakfast cupboard has bi-fold doors which open to reveal shelving that provides the perfect storage for cups, tea and coffee. The countertop below is ideal for preparing drinks or toast in the morning, then once finished, it can all be shut away out of sight.

There’s nothing better than having a place for everything and for everything to have its place so the walk in pantry is opposite the island and provides a mix of open storage for dried goods and small everyday appliances etc. To the right of the pantry is a Fisher & Paykel French door fridge freezer so that both dry and fresh goods are stored in the same area of the room.

The perfect mix of old meets new, this exposed brick wall helps to create the ideal balance of classic meets contemporary in this kitchen. The desk top is Berkeley oak, which is the same as the accent wood used throughout the kitchen and provides a place for work to be finished while dinner is being prepared.

Laundry Room
More than just a utilitarian space, the laundry room is painted in H|M Windward and finished with aged brass hardware and tap to create a warmer finish in keeping with the heritage of the home.

Boot Room
Boot rooms don’t have to be a large affair and this boot room space has open bench seating so that shoes and skateboards can be tucked away when not in use. Above the bench seat is an artisan shelf with coat pegs and at the end of the run is a cupboard for coats, jackets and boots.

Dining Room
The formal dining room in this project is just off the main kitchen which makes it easily accessible for the host and guests alike. This room proudly features a Berkeley oak Blakeney dining table designed and manufactured by Humphrey Munson with a drinks prep area (also by H|M) tucked into the corner of the room so that the table can be set and drinks can be served to guests without having to leave the room.
