If you hadn’t already noticed, at Humphrey Munson we are huge fans of positive nutrition and wellbeing so we were excited to see that superstar nutritional therapist Amelia Freer and luxurious getaway Lime Wood have joined forces to create a collection of special workshops happening over the course of this year. Amelia has also been appointed as the Wellness Advisor for Lime Wood which sees her influence across Lime Wood and Herb House with well balanced ‘Amelia inspired’ dishes on the menu in Hartnett Holder & Co and Raw & Cured, to carefully selected goodies in the Room Larders and Curated by Lime Wood.
“There is definitely no such thing as the perfect diet – we are all utterly unique; with different genetics, microbiomes, environment, cultural influences and preferences. What works for one person will be wrong for the next. However, I do think that the fundamental principles of healthy eating are common amongst us all, and so I have created guidelines for Lime Wood and Herb House that provide a basis for a healthy lifestyle and focusing on nutrient dense foods that deliver the building blocks needed to support their health.”
For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Amelia Freer, it would be safe to say that the power of food is truly her passion. Amelia believes that food can be a very powerful tool for wellbeing and her purpose is to help others to enjoy the many benefits of nutritious food – food that is accessible, easy to make, that bursts with goodness as well as flavour. She takes a scientific and holistic approach and is ardently against fad diets and exaggerated food marketing hype.
Amelia is also a three times best selling author, and is considered one of the UK’s leading voices on the benefits of nutrition and lifestyle. Having successfully helped thousands of clients to lead happier, healthier lives through nutrition and lifestyle measures, including a whole host of well-known clients such as Sam Smith, Victoria Beckham and James Corden. We recently featured Amelia in a Q&A on our blog here, where you can find out more about her incredible work.
During the workshops you will find Amelia’s influence throughout Lime Wood and Herb House. Everything from well balanced ‘Amelia inspired’ dishes on the menu in Hartnett Holder & Co and Raw & Cured, to carefully selected goodies, as well as a series of wellbeing workshops, cookery classes and events all hosted by Amelia. The most recent workshop was this month (25th June) but don’t panic, there are still two more dates available later this year – so make sure you don’t miss them!
The next event on the agenda is Autumn Batch cooking. This is a cookery demo and class with Amelia in the HH & Co Backstage kitchen on 11th September 2019 and is £235 per person. The workshop will run from 10am – 2.30pm and the idea behind this workshop is that as the long summer says start to fade into autumn, Amelia will give informative cooking demonstrations on autumnal batch cooking. Followed by a seasonal lunch and Q&A session.
Eating for Health & Weight Loss is an all-day workshop with Amelia on 23rd October 2019 and is £399 per person. The event will run from 8.30am-4.30pm and will take guests through a series of enlightening talks, cooking demonstrations, delicious shared meals and exploring what it really means to eat well and how to do so when we all have increasingly hectic lives. The day will cover topics including mindset and eating, blood sugar management and positive nutrition. You’ll leave at the end of the day with plenty of empowering knowledge and tasty recipes, as well as a lovely goodie bag and exclusive 4-day meal plan to help take all you have learnt straight into your own kitchen.
