To continue to support the community during this unprecedented time Bamford Wellness Spa at Daylesford have created a virtual schedule with their practitioners so that you can help stay happy and healthy at home. Bamford’s daily class schedule will be live streamed so you can partake in hatha yoga, breathwork or a mindfulness class from the comfort of your own home.
The three types of class available are as follows:
Virtual Dynamic Hatha Yoga
A slightly vigorous yet accessible yoga sequence that challenges the body and works the mind. A gentle warm up to cultivate breath and body awareness followed by more energetic sequences that synchronise breath and movement, develop detoxification, strength and stamina. The session comes to a close with savasana (final relaxation). This helps quiet the mind and bring the body to its natural state of balance and ease whilst Pranayama (controlled breathing) helps to eliminate toxins and recharge the body and mind.
Virtual Hatha Yoga And Breathing
A slow flowing practice of asanas that develops flexibility, strength and vitality. Using savasana (final relaxation) to help quiet the mind and bring the body to a more natural state of balance whilst pranyama (breathing exercises) eliminates toxins, recharges the body, mind and controls your mental state by regulating a flow of prana.
Virtual Hatha Yoga and Mindfullness
This class comprises of a slow flow of asanas that develops flexibility, strength and vitality. Savasana (final relaxation) helps quiet the mind and works to bring the body to its natural state of balance whilst pranayama (controlled breathing) commands your mental state by regulating the flow of prana leading you into a state of mindfulness – the energy of being awake to the present moment.
The two online practitioners leading these classes are Cristina Chandika Ma and Akshai Narain. Cristina’s mission is to ignite transformation and healing in an innovative way. Cristina’s signature Hatha Flow Yoga are in tune with the seasons and moon cycles – a slow flow that integrates breath, alignment, mudra, mantra, deep relaxation, pranayama and meditation. Akshai taught yogi in the Indian Himalayas before moving the the UK. His classes coordinate body and mind using traditional hatha yoga methods that focus on the breath. He originally studied business strategy and worked with management consulting firms before finding his true calling with yoga and wellness.
