Vaughan Lighting

Established 37 years ago, Vaughan is known for its exquisite lighting, furniture and textiles. Now one of the world’s most eminent designers and manufacturers in decorative lighting, furniture and accessories, founders and artistic couple Michael and Lucy Vaughan have combined their collective passion for art and antiques to form a luxury powerhouse. The pair bring an invaluable sense of style and meticulous attention to detail to the very heart of the company; their vision and artist led philosophy has created a timeless and beautiful collection.

Covering a spectrum of eras and styles from the 17th century to super modern pieces; each item has a signature aesthetic. Much like us at Humphrey Munson, the Vaughan collection is renowned for design and quality and is very rarely affected by fleeting trends. Simply put, we love Vaughan – and so do many of our clients.

The Lancaster Kitchen Downlight can be seen in the Kent project dining space (pictured above). The design was inspired by 20th century artist, Diego Giacometti and has a simple modernist style with a beaten metal effect. Constructed using a specially made mottled brass tubing which is then bronzed, it is available in two sizes and three finishes: brass, bronze and nickel.

The Norfolk Wall Light by Vaughan is a timeless, classic design and is both functional and versatile. Specified by the client in the dining room and hallway at the St. Albans Townhouse project (pictured above), these subtle lights ad just the right amount of soft light to warm the space in the evenings when entertaining. Crafted using traditional hot forge brass to form the Norfolk Wall light’s elegant shape. The angular shape of the backplate helps to highlight the streamlined detail of the angular arm making a truly lovely addition to any room in the home.

Similar to the Norfolk Wall Light, the Norfolk Bathroom Wall Light is a minimal, classic design that will work as part of both classic and contemporary spaces. The main difference between the two types of lighting are the lampshades, the wall light has a soft round shade, whilst the bathroom light has an angular shade which is more suited to a utilitarian space. These lights can be seen above the vanity units in our Felsted showroom.

Constructed using traditional techniques to forge brass and form the elegant shape of both types of light, each are also available in antique brass, chrome or nickel finish.
