Crucial Trading | Designing your rug

We have been fans of Crucial Trading for many years now, not just the products but the ethos and innovation behind the brand too. We recently featured their story here on the blog.

As part of our recent Felsted showroom overhaul and renovation, we ordered two sisool rugs; one for under the dining table in the Spenlow kitchen and one in the Spenlow sitting room. 

Things to think about when ordering…

 What is the footfall in the area? Is it a high traffic hallway with outdoor boots or a slippers-only snug? Is it going under the dining table where a toddler might throw spaghetti or somewhere dogs might sit and chew something? All these things play a part in the decision of the covering; whether wool, sisal or indeed ‘sisool’ (a clever combination of them both).

When it came to designing our rugs we chose Sisool Masai for both as we absolutely love the texture you get but also the softness underfoot.
