Manoir Natural Limestone Flooring

Natural limestone flooring adds a luxurious feel to homes of all shapes and sizes whether they are classic, contemporary or a mix of the two. When it comes to choosing which stone is perfect for such spaces, we love the Manoir natural limestone. The warm honey like hues of the stone create the ideal base for a busy home due to its hardwearing nature and natural, calm appearance.

Sometimes it’s all about the finish, and Manoir is lightly tumbled. This means the edges are slightly rounded and the surface has some depth, creating a timeless limestone that looks absolutely stunning – especially in the Longford pantry pictured above.

We particularly love Manoir due to the fact that it’s not entirely rustic, but the lightly tumbled finish – a process which very slightly roughens the edges and ages the stone – gives this some lovely character and warmth. The most popular finish for our natural stone – a tumbled limestone has softly rounded edges. The exposed surface grain of tumbled limestone is created by a mechanical process that recreates the effect of action of the sea on beach pebbles.

As well as looking fantastic, Manoir is durable and easy to clean, the ideal floor for light domestic use, especially when wanting to keep continuity in projects with kitchens, utility and boot rooms. If you are considering natural limestone in your home, be aware that all natural stone floor tiles supplied by HM Flooring Library are subject to inherent and geological variations and all stone samples, photos and descriptions only offer an indication of the natural variation of a stone. So if you are looking for a perfect floor throughout with little to no variations in colour or fissures, limestone may not be the best choice.
